Consensys introduces infrastructure to connect independent financial networks
November 2, 2026. Consensys announced Sovereign Network Interoperability, a platform intended to coordinate transactions across independently operated institutional digital ledgers. The company presented the project at Devcon in Mumbai.
According to Consensys, the offering targets banks, custodians, asset managers and financial infrastructure providers. Proposed uses include settlement of tokenized securities against payment, collateral transfers and cross-currency payments, while assets remain on their native ledgers.
Why it matters
Connecting separate networks could make counterparty integration less complex and facilitate digital-asset transactions. The announcement describes technology and intended uses; it does not itself demonstrate broad adoption.
Rockstar Briefing analysis
Commercial value will depend on institutions integrating systems, managing operational risks and meeting applicable rules. Verifiable results from live transactions will reveal more than announced capabilities.
