Aramco closes HUMAIN investment and takes a 49% stake in the AI company
November 1, 2026. Aramco and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) closed the transaction under which Aramco acquires a 49% stake in HUMAIN, the Saudi artificial intelligence company. PIF retains 51%.
According to Aramco, the energy company is transferring key AI assets and will contribute approximately $2.6 billion in cash during 2026. HUMAIN aims to develop data center infrastructure and artificial intelligence services.
Why it matters
The transaction connects a major energy company’s capital and assets to digital infrastructure. Its development matters to computing, power and AI service providers in a market that requires substantial investment and electricity capacity.
Rockstar Briefing analysis
The closing turns an investment intention into a defined ownership structure. Its announced scale must still translate into operating projects, customers and returns; the cash contribution alone is not revenue or installed capacity.
